Restore old Slides with
Premium Slide Digitisation

In the latter half of the 20th century, slides became a favourite format for home photography, capturing countless family moments on transparency film. Today, I can restore old slides with expert digitisation, making them print‑ready and preserving every detail, no matter the slide format.

Why old slides lose quality over time

Older slide films were created using dyes and emulsions that weren’t as stable or light‑fast as modern materials. As these elements age, they begin to break down, causing colours to fade, shift, or separate. UV exposure accelerates this process by damaging the chemical structure of the dyes, while heat, humidity, and long‑term storage can lead to spotting, mould, and uneven discolouration. Even slides kept in boxes or projectors can deteriorate gradually over time.
