What has been most amazing to me, as I was thinking about the best photo tips to write about, is the incredible advance in technology that has propelled the art of photography to create images that we could have only dreamed about a few years ago. But technology can only do so much. The skill and technical knowledge of the photographer is still paramount. With this in mind, the photo tips here are focussed on what the photographer can do. They say “a camera doesn’t lie”. While this may be true, you can change what it sees. To put it another way, how the photographer handles their camera can make or break a great picture. That is a point often overlooked and therefore what these photo tips are all about.

There’s a lot of information on the net around the settings and technical stuff, but not many photo tips on creating the image and handling the camera.
